'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League return
Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently midway through the four-year contract he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.
The experienced forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the first major honor of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he once was, and would certainly think about prolonging his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
